Privacy Policy
Last updated May 14, 2026
Keep your data yours. That's the pitch we make to clients, and it applies to you too. This page explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it.
1. Data controller
- Gabiane Labs, a sole proprietorship owned by Roland Gabiane.
- Cours des Bastions 13, 1205 Geneva, Switzerland.
- For any privacy question, contact us by post at the address above.
2. What we collect
We keep data collection to what we actually need:
- Contact and partner forms: when you fill in a form on this site, we receive the name, email address, company, and any message you choose to send.
- Booking a call: scheduling runs through Cal.com. When you book, you provide your name, email, and the details needed to set up the meeting. Cal.com processes this on our behalf.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to keep the site running and secure.
3. Why we use it
- To answer you when you contact us or request a call.
- To assess and follow up on partnership requests.
- To keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
4. Legal basis
We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, our legal bases are your consent, the steps taken at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and compliance with our legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data and we don't share it for advertising. We rely on a small set of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract:
- Our hosting provider, to serve and store the site.
- Cal.com, for call scheduling.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA. When that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or transfers to countries recognized as offering adequate protection.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for. Contact and partner messages are kept for the duration of the exchange and a reasonable period afterwards. Data tied to a contract or to accounting is kept for as long as the law requires. Server logs are kept for a short, rolling period.
8. Cookies
This site uses only what it needs to work. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. The Cal.com booking tool may set its own cookies when you open it; that is covered by Cal.com's own privacy policy.
For the full breakdown, see our Cookies page, linked from the footer.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you can ask to:
- access the personal data we hold about you,
- have it corrected if it's wrong,
- have it deleted,
- restrict or object to how we use it,
- receive it in a portable format.
10. Exercising your rights
To exercise any of these, write to us by post at Gabiane Labs, Cours des Bastions 13, 1205 Geneva, Switzerland. We'll respond within the time the law allows.
If you believe we've mishandled your data, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or your local supervisory authority if the GDPR applies to you.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping data minimal and access tight is part of how we work.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the last change. If the change is significant, we'll make it clear on the site.
13. Contact
